We had a fabulous “Official Opening” at the weekend. We gave representatives from our main funders a grand tour of our new and improved facilities. We would like to thank H.M Lord Lieutenant of Argyll & Bute, Jane MacLeod, for officially opening the MACPool Activity Hub redevelopment at the weekend. Jane is a regular user of the pool and she gave a very heartfelt speech about the history of swimming in Mid Argyll from the 8m pool in Ardrishaig to the first discussions in the 80’s, opening as MACPool in 1996 to our recent refurbishment. John Gurr, our current Chairperson also gave a speech thanking all involved in the redevelopment project, including the community of Mid Argyll for their continuous support as we are truly “built by the community, for the community”
