The Queen’s Baton Relay is coming to Mid Argyll Community Pool on Sunday 13 July and we’re celebrating with an open day, free swimming and family fun activities.
This is your chance to get up close to the baton, which has travelled to every country in the Commonwealth, on its way to Glasgow for the Games opening ceremony.
The baton will arrive at MACPool around 11.45am and will only stay a short while. Make sure you come along early so you don’t miss it.
And while you wait, take part in our open day activities – there’s free swimming, with family-fun floats and pool toys.
Our lifeguards will also be out an about for a chat. They’ll also demonstrate their rescue skills in the pool at 11.15am, 12 noon and 1.30pm
The open day starts at 11:00 am until 2pm, so there’s lots to do before and after the Queen’s Baton arrives. Come along and play your part in the Commonwealth Games – and see the improvements recently made at the pool.
