It’s been a big month for Dalriada Dolphins as the club welcomed a new coach and awarded its first ever ‘Swimmer of the month’ prizes in October.

Awarded to the junior and senior swimmer who have made the greatest contribution to the club or shown the biggest improvement, this month’s prizes went to Jura MacMillan (junior) and Ruby Bosomworth (senior).

Coach Arlene Green has returned to Argyll after running a successful swimming school in Doha, Qatar, where she coached the county’s first and only female swimmer to compete in the Olympics. Arlene will be using her insight to give Mid Argyll dolphins a competitive edge.

Aimed at competent junior swimmers, from age eight, dolphins receive one hour of swim coaching and training each week – and also get free access to all public swimming sessions so they can practise their skills – for only £20 per month.
