Young swimmers are celebrating success this week at Mid Argyll Community Pool. More than 150 children who have taken part in the Learn to Swim programme received certificates to recognise the improvements they’ve made during the latest series of lessons.
All of the swimmers have made progress, from complete beginners gaining confidence in the water through to those who are ready to move onto Dolphins Swim Club.
Macpool’s learn to swim programme is sponsored by The Scottish Salmon Company and representatives were on hand to present certificates across four days of award ceremonies.
Rosanna Pile, The Scottish Salmon Company said:
“We are delighted to have played our part in MacPool’s success through our sponsorship of the Learn to Swim programme. It is wonderful to see so many young children taking part and congratulate them on their success. Such skills are essential, but what strikes you most is how much everyone seems to enjoy their time at MacPool.”
Stuart Owen, MACPool’s manager said:
“The Learn to Swim programme at MACPool is going from strength to strength. There is a record 150 children learning to swim with us at the moment. This success is down to the hard work of the children and teachers and the sponsorship from The Scottish Salmon Company over the last 2 years.”
The next set of Learn to Swim lessons start on 15th April. Anyone who wants to sign up should contact the pool on 01546 606 676. There are a few spaces available.
